Sugar aka Chessie the C&O mascot
The C&O RR used to have a mascot, "Chessie," who was a striped cat who was able to 'sleep like a kitten' in C&O sleeping cars b/c the ride was so smooth. (She eventually acquired a mate, Peake, as in Chesa peake & Ohio....clever, eh?).

Sugar-sweetest cat
Here she is after catching a Christmas mouse.
Sugar thinks my pillow is not too hard, and not too soft, but just right!
We discovered a new toy to pounce on: the wrist strap on my camera! Almost as good as a feather!
