After a month of being swamped under the responsibilities of planning and running the annual conference of NAECED (The National Association for Episcopal Christian Education Directors) all during my spare time, I'm slowing re-emerging to the rest of the world. The conference was here in San Diego, and I was responsible for all the logistics, but of course couldn't work on it except on my lunch hours. Due to huge doses of divine grace and help from other members of the NAECED Board, it went fabulously. The conference itself was great for me as I got to hang out w/ a bunch of my old Christian Ed friends for 3 days, and pretend like I was a tourist in San Diego, which was kinda neat.

The Saturday afternoon the conference ended, I drove two attendees from other parts of the country over to Coronado, so they could see the Pacific before they returned home. This formed a neat parallel to my very first visit to San Diego, which was for the APCE (Presby educators) conference in 1997, when my roommate and I headed to Coronado on the free Saturday so we could see the ocean. It was then that I fell in love with San Diego. Now I live here. Amazing.

I've been listening to a very awesome web radio station of quality folk music lately: Folk Alley.

Last month I went to hear Harvey Reid, folk guitarist and vocalist, in concert. He's the brother of my dear friend Brian Reid, uber tech wizard and Anglicans Online editor.
