My mom holds my first-cousin Chuck (Charles Evans McAbee) while my dad looks on, c. 1948. Chuck must have scared her pretty badly since she waited another 20 years to have a child of her own!!! (Thanks to Chuck for sending me this photo and the one of our grandmother.)
